The korn concert was awesome. They had an unbelievable light show. We had balcony seats, which kind of sucked, but we got to see a lot of interesting things. We saw two people carried out on strechers. One person try to jump over the balcony. It was about three stories down. Unfortunatly we saw a lot of naked chicks. Oh, and we saw a gut trippin' on acid. He didn't look so good. If I ever go to a korn concert again, I will have to get genral admision tickets. Before Korn came on they took almost all the girls out and let them sit in this little area by the stage. that would be cool. Well someone called last night, or should I say this morning. At 4:00 am. Yeah, even worse she talked to him for an hour and a half. I was so pissed. She went out in our little foyer area, we live in dorms, and it echoed so bad that it was the same as if she was sitting next to me. After fourty-five minutes I told her to go out in the lobby. well she went out there for two minutes then came back. So, I just unplugged the phone cord three different times, then she thought the phone was going dead, so after the third time she finally stopped talking. Then she told him to just call the same time tomorrow. When she came in I chewed her out. Then I was so pissed off I couldn't sleep, so I got up and called my boyfriend. He gets up at 5:30 so I knew he would be up. I finally calmed down and went to bed at 6:00 am.
Any suggestions, I told her I didn't mind if he called that early, but she had to go out in the lobby, and talk to him. If she doesn't I think I'm just going to pull the phone cord out and leave it out.
???????
Amber

Hey how's it goin'? I went to an Incubus concert last night, but to me it wasn't very good. I felt like I was at a backstreetboys concert. I mean the singing was good, but the croud sucked. It was just the kind of music where you sit down and listen to it. I'm more into the heavy stuff, like Pantera and Disturbed.

Well for english I'm supposed to blog about Howard Rheingold's, Chapter One, "The Heart of the Well". I thought it was a great story, very interesting and at times very sad. It was amazing how they became their own little community on the internet. Well I'm not feeling very good right now, so I'll type more later on the class blog.

By the way if you ever want to comment or write, write to Amber.Mcneal@ndsu.nodak.edu

Well it's been awhile scince I've blogged. I'm going to try to blog at least twice a week know.

Have you ever had one of those roommates, that knows you have to get up early in the morning but they don't so they don't give a shit, and stay up really late talking on the phone. Now, it's not that big of a deal to me if they don't talk that loud, but I'm sure most of you that have this problem have roommates that talk so loud you swear they were trying to shout out the window to the person they are talking to on the phone. Here's my plan, since she sleeps in I'm going to get up a little early and have my boyfriend call me, then I'm going to talk just as loud as she did.

Later
Amber I went to a street dance in Moorehead on Saturday. A band called Flipp was there they were really good. They had the drinkers and none drinkers split up. It would have been fun to be able to go on the drinkers side, because their was a big mosh pit. The lead singer was all like "What is Fargo so wild that they have to put you guys in jail before you even start", because they had cattle gaurds up. He told everyone to come up front, but when we started to come up front the cops started to grab people and throw them on the ground. The lead singer told the cops it was ok but the cops made everyone go back. I highly suggest you check this band out they put on a really good show.

Amber McNeal

I had to dissagree with Ryan Ozawa's "Journal vs. Weblog". I think that people should be able to write whatever they want. I mean, you don't have to read it if you think it's boring. I also feel this way about "Blah, Blah, Blah, and Blog" by Farhad Manjoo.
When I read "The Blog Phenomenon" by John C. Dvorak, I had no clue where he was going with it, I really didn't understant what his point was.
I felt that "It's as easy as falling of a weblog" was well writyen and easy to understand. I felt that he spent more time complaining than anything.
I do agree with Jessie on the article "What We're Doing When We Blog" I was also interested that so many people started to blog after Sept. 11, and I also can see why people started to blog like I said earlier they needed to vent.
I agree with Tomi, when she said that meg's article start's out with some pretty good info. and that latter in the article she starts to jump around and completely changes the subject. I also had no clue what she was talking about later in the article.
I agree with Chris Enderson. In Rebeca blood's article "A History and Perspective" I thought she did very well in explaining what a blog is. I also have never heard of them until this class. I am also suprised that it never showed up in a search.
I agree with Kayla, I feel that lecturing is and important thing to have in high school and that they need to get us ready for college. I also agree that they should have more class activies. Many people learn in different ways. Then when your in groups one student may be able to explain something that one of the other students doesn't understand. Sometimes if it is explained in a different way it is easier for them ot understand.
I agree with Cassie I thought that Levinson's article was hard to understand and I also got quit frusterated when reading it.

I felt that "A Day-by_Day In the Life" was a good write up on blogging. When she quoted "Online Uprising" by Catherine Seipp, and agreed with her "But after September 11, a slew of new or refocused media junkie/political site...." That is the point of bloging and I also feel that people needed time to vent after the bombing. In our POD class we had all open notes tests, and he would tell us what would be on the test. In Physics our teacher would give us notes tell use what would be on the test, we would meomorize it, take the test, and then forget it. In Calculus I had no teacher, which wasn't to bad, but there was times when I needed one, and our math teacher was not qualified enough to teach it.
All the teachers that I thought were the best everyone else hated. most of them were harder teachers, but they explained things better and worked with us more. My favorite teacher thaught History, he would also let us have open note tests, but he was so good at teaching and explaining notes that no one had to use the "cheat sheats".
I think that another problem with our schools is lack of disciplin. We had a kid in our school who tried to burn down the school. He had in school suspension for two days and then he was back in class. We had another kid that was so violent, that the principle told the big guys on the bus to grab him and hold him down if he ever tried to go for the bus driver. When he did get into fights with people. The people that were being hit by him were always blamed, because they felt that he was picking on him. I feel that the kid with the rage sould have had some punishment. I feel that because he gets by with it he will do it again.

Amber McNeal

I feel that Cameron Barrett's report, "More About Weblogs", was not very good. I think he spent to much time feeling sorry for himself. For example when he made the statement "Increasing responsibilities at my full lime job require me to spend even more time in a 12x 12 box of prefabricated cube walls, surrounded by no less than four computer monitors." Everyone has to work, well most everyone, that is just part of life. If he doesn't like his job he should find another one, but I have no sympanthy for him.

Amber McNeal

     I thought that Melvin E.
